S+A’s stacking eco-chairs are independently certified by AFRDI for Commercial Use at these levels (as noted in each product specification):

• Level 6 – Severe Commercial
• Level 5 – Heavy Commercial
• Level 4 – Commercial

The engineers at AFRDI (the Australasian Furnishing, Research & Development Institute) rigorously test each product against the Australian Standards for:

• Ergonomics & Design
• Stability & Safety
• Strength & Durability

Certification does not relate to fabrics or other upholstery coverings – chairs comply with the standard if the fabrics or coverings used (if any) meet the flammability requirements of AS/NZS 4088.1 and the care labelling requirements of AS/NZS 1957.
